Mission Statement

Zahnow Library Mission and Goals

Library Mission Statement

The mission of the Melvin J. Zahnow Library is to provide information resources and services that support the teaching and research needs of the students, faculty and staff  of Saginaw Valley State University.

 

Goals

Zahnow Library Goals for 2012-13

 

1.  Provide a range of services that promotes student academic success and retention.


2.  Establish new modes of communication and interaction with students and faculty to increase awareness and use of library resources and services.


3.  Evaluate and strengthen library collections to meet the teaching and research needs of the university community.


4.  Enhance the accessibility and management of library resources.


5.  Promote innovation through professional developmemnt and continuing education of library staff.

   

6.  Maintain an inviting physical environment that facilitates learning and social interaction.
