Goals and Measures

Library assessment is a tool which assists an institution in defining its goals. Data is collected in order to assess, evaluate and improve Melvin J Zahnow Library’s services, resources, facilities and technology. Library assessment is a dynamic process which incorporates the gathering of information and responding to user needs and wants. This four year plan aims to provide an outline of assessment projects and initiatives undertaken by the Melvin J Zahnow Library in order to improve services. In developing this plan, the Research and Assessment librarian sought input from the library’s professional librarians and staff members. There is an understanding that as needs change, additional assessment projects may be prioritized over others and this plan is in a state of flux.
