Authentication proxies make sure that we are abiding by publisher and content provider licensing that state content can only be used by SVSU faculty, students, and staff. They also help prevent illegal cyber activity (like hacking). Our previous proxy service was not being developed by the vendor anymore, which leaves library resources and library IT at risk. It will also eliminate those pesky privacy error pages you may have been seeing this semester.
It means that you'll see a different screen when you access library resources off campus. If you are faculty, you will also need to change any links to library content in your Canvas courses. Click on the tabs above to see specific instructions for navigating this change.
