Human Library Zahnow Library Saginaw Valley State University: Home

At the Human Library, readers are invited to sit down and have a conversation with a human "book". The Human Library aims to contribute to greater tolerance and understanding between people. It is a method to create dialogue between different individuals who would not otherwise have had an opportunity to talk together.

Readers are invited to drop by Zahnow Library any time during the event to sit and have an illuminating 20 minute conversation with a book of their choice.  This event is free and open to the entire SVSU community.

The Human Library, based in Copenhagen Denmark was created in 2000.  The aim of the event is to better our understanding of diversity in order to help create more inclusive and cohesive communities across cultural, religious, social and ethnic differences.
