Our Philosophy:
Research/Reference Services will conduct its mission with the utmost respect to our library users and provide all library users the best experience possible with each research/reference transaction. These transactions/ interactions provide profound opportunities to encourage a foundation/relationship that inspires learning. The following quote effectively articulates their importance to this department.
“The heart and soul of reference services is the personal interaction between librarian and user, which is itself an entrypoint into intellectual discourse (Dickerson, 2016)”

Our Vision Statement:
Research Services will provide user centered services, programs and resources based on user feedback, assessment and use analytics. User support options will be multi-faceted (face to face and technology driven) and aligned with the Library’s mission and the University’s mission.
