Welcome to the Music Research Guide! This is your home for all things music research. If you have any questions about the resources, your assignments, or your research, please feel free to contact me at hgfisher@svsu.edu.
NOTE: To help prevent the spread of COVID, librarians are working a staggered on-campus schedule. Until further notice, I am only on campus one day a week and working remotely the rest of the week. Email is the best way to contact me.
A bit about me: I am a classically trained musician and hold bachelors and masters degrees in performance, along with a masters degree in music history. My research areas are: American film, television, and radio music from 1930-1960; Bollywood film music; music and politics (specifically Irish rebellion music); and music and religion (specifically non-Christian music). After many years of music study and performance, I completed a masters degree in Library and Information Science and joined the staff of SVSU in 2015! #WePerform
