To search for MeL books, go to the MeLCat link found on the left side of the library's homepage, under RESEARCH.. Click on the Classic Catalog to go to the Classic MelCat Search page.  You can borrow up to 70 MeL books at a time.  Our peer 4-year state universities loan for 3 months with a 30-day renewal.  Other libraries loan for 3 weeks with one 3-week  renewal. When you request a MeL book, you will receive an email from the Zahnow Library Circulation Staff telling you when the book arrives at SVSU.  Go to the FIRST FLOOR CIRCULATION desk to pick up your MeL book.  There is NO CHARGE to use this service.

To request a MeL book, click on the GET THIS FOR ME! link found on the MelCat page that comes up after you enter a search and clicked on a book title.

Select SAGINAW VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY for your ACCOUNT.  Then enter your SVSU username and password in the appropriate boxes.  That's all you do.  Then you can enter your request.  Leave the bottom two boxes empty.  Now you will wait (approximately 7-10 weekdays) for the email from the circulation staff, as mentioned above.
