Here you can find information on what copyright law and license allowances impact how you can use library resources in your classroom and Canvas course.

Project Gutenberg Project Gutenberg Literary Archive Foundation PG Terms Mostly open access

Most of the ebooks are in the public domain or have been provided to Project Gutenberg for free distribution. On the landing page for each individual ebook is a notice on the copyright status (near the bottom of the page). Each ebook will need to be checked to verify the copyright status is public domain. 

Project Gutenberg does retain the copyright to its metadata, logo, and name, so to reuse, modify, or share the content without violating Project Gutenberg's copyright means the copyright material will need to be removed.

Project MUSE Johns Hopkins University Press Project Muse Standard Collection_MCLS SVSU students, faculty, and staff.

Users may download and print one copy of a journal article for personal use and archive its contents on their personal computers. Users can share one copy of an article to another user provided that user is an authorized user and it will be for personal use.

Users may "download and print one copy of each ebook chapter" for personal use and archive its contents on their personal computers. Users can share one copy of a single ebook chapter to another user provided that user is an authorized user and it will be for personal use.

Each title has its own license (most are Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0). Each title will need to be checked to see what the license allows.
