Zahnow Library has access to many eBooks through "big search box" on the Library Homepage or Classic Catalog. You can find links to the ebooks Zahnow subscribes to in EBSCO eBook collection, Ebook Central, and Project Muse by limiting a search to electronic books.
Free eBooks (usually "classics" that are no longer protected by copyright though some newer titles are published for access in the public domain) can be found in a number of websites such as Project Gutenberg or Google Books. Open Library is another site that has free ebooks to download, as well as a small lending library of titles where copyright is still in effect.
Several databases at Zahnow also contain either the full content of reference material or portions of this material. A few of these databases are Gale ebooks, Literature Online, and African American Studies Center. If you are interested in viewing books in these databases and need assistance, please contact a Research Center Librarian.
