Group Study Rooms / Collaborative Technology

There are group study rooms located throughout the library.  Group study rooms can be reserved for 2, 2 hour blocks totaling 4 hours in one day.  For information on group study rooms, including how to reserve them, click here.

Most group study rooms contain collaborative technology, allowing you to connect your laptop wireless device to a projector or smart-board so that you can collaborate with your group members more easily.  Instructions on how to use the technology can be found in each of the group study rooms.  You can also contact IT Support should you have additional questions about how to use the technology.

Computers and Printing

Computers and laptops are located on the library's 1st and 2nd floors.  Students may log in to the computers using their SVSU user name and password.

Documents that you print from library computers or that you have printed wirelessly from your device can be released from the Kyocera printers located in the printing alcoves on the library's 1st and 2nd floors.  An additional printer is located in the cafe area of the 3rd floor.  To release your print job, either swipe your SVSU ID using the card reader attached to the printers, or punch in your SVSU user name and password on the printer's touch screen.  You can also enter your ID number to release your print jobs.  The Kyocera machines will also allow you to scan a document and send it to your email.

Step-by-step instructions are located next to the printers and you can find more information about how to print by logging into the Print Balance link located under SVSU Quicklinks.

Please contact IT support (989-964-4225) if you have any questions.
