ENGL 111 Library Sesssion: Faculty Information - Fall 2021: Home

Introduction

This guide is intended to provide information to First Year Writing Faculty on the library instruction lesson developed for ENGL 111 courses.

Recommendations

Recommendations

  • Schedule your session early. It is recommended to schedule at least two weeks prior to the desired date.
  • If you want a librarian to be embedded into your CANVAS COURSE, indicate this under DESCRIBE ASSIGNMENT on the library instruction request form.
  • The session works best if it can be scheduled at a time when students are beginning to think about their topics for a research assignment.
  • Sessions will be held in the library's Z-111 Active Learning Lab, unless specified otherwise on the request form.
  • Any session not held in Z-111 must be scheduled in another computer lab (not a classroom).
  • Request a second instruction session if you want instruction on a specific topic or specific assignment.
