1. Make sure the Check-In (No Patron) Function is selected in the top-right drop down menu.
2. Make sure the cursor is in the Search box at top-left.
3. Scan barcode of item or items, be sure to watch the screen to ensure the transaction is recorded.
4. Place SVSU Library books on wooden return cart at back of pillar by the resensitizer, place SVSU Media Items on blue return cart outside of the supervisor office and place other items back where they belong (reserves, etc.).
| MeL | Type "b" in search box before scanning barcode, write "R" for returned on MeL slip and put item in processing room on Outgoing table. |
| Archives | Do not check these items in; instead put them in the bin outside of Rose's office. |
| Holds | If a pop-up box appears stating that the item being checked in is on hold for another patron get a blue Hold Slip from the wooden card catalog boxes located on the first and second tier desks. Write the patron's name (Last, First) and the date at the top of the slip, put the slip in the book and place the book on the hold shelf in alphabetical order by the patron's last name. |
| Bills | If a pop-up box appears stating that the item being checked in has been billed give the item to a supervisor to complete the transaction. |

Media Reservations |
If a pop-up box appears stating that the item being checked in has been reserved by a faculty member to use in their class give the item to a supervisor to complete the transaction. |

Headphones |
When headphones are returned disinfect them with the spray or a wipe located on the counter next to the cabinet before putting them away. |

Notebooks/ Netbooks |
Retrieve the proper form from the black file holder in the supervisor office to check in. |

Opening Bookdrop |
Before checking in items from the opening bookdrop click on Backdate on the Sierra Check-In screen, choose the date of the last bookdrop completed and click on OK. |
